Health and Environment in the Unrecognized Villages, Discussion in the Knesset's Internal Affairs and Environment Committee, 31.1.2011
During the discussion, PHR-Israel presented a position paper reviewing the severe health implications of the lack of appropriate environmental conditions in the unrecognized villages, including the lack of water services and infrastructure, electricity, roads, and sewage and sanitation systems. The paper also raised other issues such as house demolitions, lack of garbage removal services, and the environmental hazards and pollution emanating from industrial plants located next to population concentrations.

35 Israeli and American Jewish Organizations Send Open Letter to JNF

Call on JNF to end its complicity in the dispossession of the Negev Bedouin from their land. JNF must reconsider its development plans for the Negev and commit to truly sustainable development of the Negev for all of the region’s inhabitants, Jews and Arabs alike.

Medical day in Al Arakib: In solidarity with residents of the demolished bedouin village

In solidarity with the unrecognized village of Al-Arakib demolished by State forces: Physicians for Human Rights held a Medical day day in Al-Akarib in which dozens of medical personnel, volunteers and staff members participated last Friday, 27 August.
