Celebrate 25 Years of Human Rights Advocacy with a Donation to Physicians for Human Rights-Israel
Over the past 25 years, PHR-Israel’s dedicated members and volunteers have worked nonstop to defend human rights, express solidarity with society’s most vulnerable members, and oppose Israel’s ongoing military occupation. Each week, they join our Mobile Clinic, traveling throughout the West Bank to provide medical care to Palestinians living in rural areas.

In the Spirit of Passover, Help PHR-Israel Defend the Health Rights of Refugees
Your support enables us to provide direct medical care to refugees and asylum seekers in our Open Clinic; to issue expert medical testimonies that prevent the deportation of critically ill patients and their families; to lobby the Ministry of Health and Members of Knesset (Parliament) to grant social residency, including health and welfare services, to victims of torture; and toact as ambassadors of change within our profession, training colleagues and medical students on medical ethics and the specific medical needs of asylum seekers.

"A human rights organization is a political, radical organization by nature. We are political in that we want to bring about social change, shake the political structure which oppresses Palestinians in the Occupied Territory, and migrant workers, women, the elderly, refugees and other groups inside Israel. In our view, joining forces with the existing, oppressive, power structure necessarily prevents the much needed change."

In view of the upcoming adoption of the country human right strategy for Israel, PHR Israel, Adalah, the Public Committee against Torture in Israel (PCATI) and Amnesty Intl. (Israel) made observations and recommendations as to Israel's policy towards human right.

Dylan Collins: The Battle for Emergency Services in East Jerusalem

From 1967 up until 2005 Israel’s emergency evacuation service, Magen David Adom, was responsible for all ambulance transportation within greater Jerusalem. During this period, emergency services in the Arab neighborhoods of East Jerusalem were irregular if not completely absent.
